Why Writing?
Writing is my passion.
I write both journalistic and creative writing. I have written journalistic writing since my freshman year in 2016 through my senior year in 2020, and since graduating in professional roles. I have written creative writing since I was young, and further studied it as one of my collegiate minors. I am both a published journalist and author.

JOURNALISM
In college I worked three-and-a-half years at Pittsburg State University's campus newspaper The Collegio, entering the staff as a freshman reporter and working my way into leadership roles of copy editor, managing editor, then editor-in-chief for a year.
Following college, I worked nine months as digital producer for Fourstatehomepage.com, and affiliate television stations KSN/KODE based in Joplin, MO.

The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you figure out WHY.

Writing is my affinity; I can get lost writing.
I studied creative writing & publishing as one of my collegiate minors, producing numerous short stories and other creative works. My preferred area is short story fiction writing. I have written fiction since the third grade.
I am a four-time published author. I have been published four years consecutively in the Pittsburg State University literary magazine The Cow Creek Review, from 2016 through 2020. Work published includes creative fiction and poetry.
I greatly enjoy conducting research and turning that research into a paper for others to read and become educated through. Research is a certain strong-suit of mine.
